Tyler Robert Joseph (born December 1, 1988) is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, musician, and record producer, best known as the frontman of the musical duo Twenty One Pilots alongside bandmate Josh Dun. He has recorded nine albums: one solo, and eight with Twenty One Pilots. As part of the duo, he has been nominated for six Grammy Awards, of which he has won one.

Jordan Edward Benjamin (born October 25, 1993), known professionally as Grandson (stylized as grandson), is an American and Canadian singer, songwriter, and rapper. He released his major label debut EP, A Modern Tragedy Vol. 1, on June 15, 2018, and released the follow-up A Modern Tragedy Vol. 2 on February 22, 2019.

Michael Kenji Shinoda is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and graphic designer. It was the band's first studio album in three years, after the breakthrough success of their previous studio album, Blurryface (2015). Recorded in secret during a year-long public silence, it is a concept album which explores mental health, suicide, and doubt themes prominently featured in the band's previous works, framed in the metaphorical city of Dema and the surrounding continent known as "Trench". The album was also the first release of the newly revived Elektra Music Group.

Its title is a play on "scaled back and isolated", a phrase frontman Tyler Joseph associated with music produced during the COVID-19 pandemic, though the title is also an anagram of "Clancy is dead", a reference to the protagonist of the duo's previous studio album, Trench (2018). The album received generally positive reviews from critics. A livestream album version of Scaled and Icy which additionally contain exclusive livestream version tracks originating from the associated "Livestream Experience" was released on November 19, 2021, five days before the release of the album's fourth and final single "The Outside".

Clancy is the seventh studio album by the American musical duo Twenty One Pilots, released on May 24, 2024, through Fueled by Ramen and Elektra Records. Titled after the protagonist introduced in their fifth studio album, Trench (2018), the visual album is the first of two records ending the duo's decade-long conceptual series which began with Blurryface (2015).
