Currensy

Shante Scott Franklin (born April 4, 1981), better known by his stage name Currensy (stylized as Curren$y), is an American rapper. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, he signed with the local record labels No Limit Records, Cash Money Records and Young Money Entertainment in the mid-2000s, but parted ways with both without any major releases. He signed with DD172 to release four albums before signing with Warner Records to release his fifth album and major label debut, Weekend at Burnie's (2011). In February of that year, he founded the record label Jet Life Recordings.

Cheeky Blakk

Angela Sherrie Woods, known professionally as Cheeky Blakk, is a New Orleans-based rapper and performer. She is recognized as a pioneering female artist in the male-dominated New Orleans bounce scene. Her 1994 track “Twerk Something,” the first to use the term in a song, has been called one of the essential songs of the genre.

Gudda Gudda

Carl Eugene Lilly Jr. (born March 11, 1983), better known by his stage name Gudda Gudda, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He performed on Young Money Entertainment's 2009 single "BedRock", which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Lilly was originally a member of Sqad Up with Kidd Kidd and Lil Wayne.

Fly Young Red

Franklin Freeman Randall, known by his stage name Fly Young Red is an American rapper who gained notoriety due to his controversial song "Throw That Boy Pussy".

Jay Electronica

Elpadaro F. Electronica Allah, known professionally as Jay Electronica, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in New Orleans, he first saw recognition with his single "Exhibit C" (2009), which led fellow American rapper Jay-Z to sign Electronica to his Roc Nation label following a multi-label bidding war in 2010.

Joe Blakk

Joseph Francois, better known by his stage name Joe Blakk, is an American rapper and activist from New Orleans. He gained success in the early 1990s after releasing his hit songs "It Ain't Where Ya From" and "Boot Up or Shut Up."

Michael Kerry McFarland, better known by his stage name Mike Bleed Da BlockStarr or simply Mike Bleed, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Young Greatness

Theodore Joseph Jones III (September 19, 1984 – October 29, 2018), better known by his stage name Young Greatness, was an American rapper. He was best known for his 2015 single "Moolah", which peaked at number 85 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He was shot and killed in October 2018.

Flow (rapper)

Widner DeGruy, also known by his stage name Flow, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He began his music career with hip hop group, The Flamez and is the CEO of Flame Gang Music. In 2012, he signed to Lil Wayne's label Young Money Entertainment. That same year, Flow formed another group called L.A.T. with rappers Gudda Gudda and Kevin Gates. Flow would tour with labelmate Lil Wayne.

Aha Gazelle

William Gazelle Fields Jr. (born September 25, 1993), professionally known as Aha Gazelle, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2012, he had a project released called #TeamGMG. In 2014, Aha released his first official mixtape, Greenbeans & Tuna, which was received well locally and online via popular mediums such as Spinrilla and Mymixtapez. He received further recognition for "Vegeta", his most successful record to date.

Big Mike (rapper)

Michael Barnett, better known by his stage name Big Mike, is an American rapper. He was born in New Orleans and grew up in Houston. He joined the Geto Boys, a hip-hop group from Houston in 1992.

Birdman (rapper)

Bryan Christopher Williams (né; February 15, 1969), better known by his stage names Birdman and Baby, is an American rapper and record executive. He is the public face of Cash Money Records, a record label he co-founded with his older brother, Ronald "Slim" Williams, in 1991. His self-titled debut studio album (2002) was released by the label in a joint venture with Republic Records; it received mixed critical and moderate commercial reception, along with his three subsequent albums: Fast Money (2005), 5 * Stunna (2007), and Priceless (2009). Along with his solo career, he is one half of the hip hop duo Big Tymers with producer Mannie Fresh, as well as the supergroup Cash Money Millionaires.

Darwin Turner, better known by his stage name Choppa, is an American rapper and singer.

54th Platoon

The 54th Platoon are an American rap group who were the only artists signed to the short-lived FUBU Records. The group consisted of four members; JS, TL, Big Nut and Nu Black, all of whom came from New Orleans. They first released two independent albums in 1999 and 2000 entitled From Then... Till Now and Downtown Symphony (Now...Till Forever), before joining FUBU in 2001.

Baby Boy da Prince

Lawrence Cennett (born August 28, 1986), better known by his stage name Baby Boy da Prince, is a rapper from New Orleans. His only album, Across the Water, was released on March 20, 2007. He is considered a one-hit wonder.

Big Freedia

Freddie Ross Jr., better known by her stage name Big Freedia, is an American rapper, singer and performer known for her work in the New Orleans genre of hip-hop called bounce music. Freedia has been credited with helping popularize the genre, which had been largely underground since developing in the early 1990s.

Dave Davis (actor)

Dave Davis is an American actor, musician and producer based in New Orleans. He is best known for his lead roles in the 2017 film Bomb City and the 2019 horror film The Vigil.

Dee-1

David Arnold Augustine Jr. (born April 10, 1985), known professionally as Dee-1, is an American rapper, author, educator, and activist from New Orleans, Louisiana. The success of his 2010 single, "Jay, 50, and Weezy", led him to sign a recording contract with RCA Inspiration three years later. In 2019, he parted ways with the label in favor of an independent career.

Donald Robertson (music producer)

Donald XL Robertson is an American record producer, mastering engineer, and entrepreneur from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the founder of the independent music production company and label XL Productionz. Robertson became known for his production work during the rise of Southern hip hop in the late 1990s and early 2000s and has collaborated with artists including Master P, Silkk the Shocker, Soulja Slim, Juvenile, Currensy, Mos Def, and Nas.

Fiend (rapper)

Richard Anthony Jones (born May 13, 1976), better known by his stage name Fiend (or International Jones), is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. His debut album, I Won't Be Denied (1995), was released by the local record label Big Boy Records. He signed with its competitor, Master P's No Limit Records, to release the follow-up album, There's One in Every Family (1998). The latter peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200 and was followed by his third album, Street Life (1999), which peaked at number 15 on the chart and served as his final release with No Limit.

Full Blooded is an American rapper formerly signed to Master P's No Limit Records in the late 1990s.

Kevin Gates

Kevin Jerome Gilyard, known professionally as Kevin Gates, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is currently signed to Bread Winners' Association with a partnership with Atlantic Records. His debut studio album, Islah, released in January 2016 and peaked at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. Prior to Islah, Gates also released a number of mixtapes, including Stranger Than Fiction (2013), By Any Means (2014), and Luca Brasi 2 (2014), all of which peaked in the top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Krazy (rapper)

Michael Wilson, known professionally as Krazy, is an American rapper. He formally started his music career in a rap group called, Murder Inc. Krazy later signed to No Limit Records and joined 504 Boyz in 2000.

N.O. Joe

Joseph Johnson, known by his stage name N.O. Joe, is an American musician, hip hop record producer and songwriter. N.O. Joe was a pioneer of the Southern Hip Hop sound during the 1990s. He operates a production company named Gumbo Funk, which is also a name given to his melange of musical styles

Juvenile (rapper)

Terius Gray, better known by his stage name Juvenile, is an American rapper best known for his work with Birdman's Cash Money Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s, both solo and as a member of the label's then-flagship group, Hot Boys.

B.G. (rapper)

Christopher Noel Dorsey (born September 3, 1980), better known by his stage name B.G. (short for Baby Gangsta; formerly Lil Doogie), is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He began his musical career in 1993 upon signing with Birdman's Cash Money Records at the age of 12. Dorsey and label-mates Lil Wayne, Juvenile and Turk collectively formed the group Hot Boys in 1997, with whom he released three albums until disbanding in 2002. As a solo act, Dorsey has released five solo albums for Cash Money: Chopper City (1996), It's All on U, Vol.

Willard Hill

Willard Hill is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Hill got his start in song writing and producing working with Wyclef Jean and Jerry Wonda after moving to New York City in 2008. He currently lives in Los Angeles and works on music and film compositions.

C-Murder

Corey Miller (born March 9, 1971), better known by his stage name C-Murder, is an American rapper. He initially gained fame in the mid-1990s as a part of his brother Master P's label No Limit Records, primarily as a member of the label's supergroup, TRU. Miller went on to release several solo albums of his own through the label, including 1998's platinum Life or Death. C-Murder has released nine albums altogether on six different labels, No Limit Records, TRU Records, Koch Records, Asylum Records, RBC Records, and Venti Uno. In 2002, Miller was arrested in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas, and was sentenced to life in prison on August 14, 2009.
