"Speak Now" is a song by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift from her third studio album, Speak Now. Before the album's release, Big Machine Records issued it on the iTunes Store on October 5, 2010. Swift wrote the track inspired by when her friend told her that a guy who the friend had an infatuation with would marry someone else. The lyrics depict Swift interrupting a wedding because she believed the bride was unsuitable for the groom, who runs away with her in the end.
