Critics have described Let Go as a pop-punk and alternative rock album with a grunge-oriented sound. The album has sold over 16 million copies worldwide, making it Lavigne's highest-selling album to date and the best selling album of the 21st century by a Canadian artist. Upon release, Let Go received generally positive reviews from music critics.
