The Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media (including its previous names) is the Grammy Awards awarded to songs written for films, television, video games or other visual media. Alan Menken has won five awards (out of nine nominations) in this category for his work on the Walt Disney animated films: The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), Pocahontas (1995), and Tangled (2010). Randy Newman has won three awards (out of seven nominations) for his work on the Disney-Pixar films Toy Story 2 (1999), Monsters, Inc. (2001) and Cars (2006).
