Childbirth (band)

Childbirth is an American alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington, United States. The band includes members from other popular Seattle-based bands (Julia Shapiro of Chastity Belt, Bree McKenna of Tacocat, Stacy Peck of Pony Time). The band performs in maternity gowns and is currently signed to the label Suicide Squeeze Records The three piece received some notoriety on websites such as Pitchfork and Vice Magazine for their viral song "I Only Fucked You as a Joke", which also made Spin magazine's Top 100 Songs of 2014. NPR premiered the single "Nasty Grrls" for their most recent album, Women's Rights.
