Bruce Greenwood

Stuart Bruce Greenwood (born August 12, 1956) is a Canadian actor and producer. He has starred in five films by Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan and has been nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards, once for Best Actor for Elephant Song (2014) and twice for Best Supporting Actor, for The Sweet Hereafter (1997) and Being Julia (2004). Greenwood is known for frequently portraying the President of the United States, beginning with his role as John F. Kennedy in Thirteen Days (2000), for which he won the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture; he later played fictional presidents in National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). He also portrayed Captain Christopher Pike in J. J. Abrams's Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) and Gerald Burlingame in Gerald's Game (2017).
