Bert Matter

Bert Matter (born 1937) is a Dutch minimalist composer and organist. Matter was born in 1937 in Baambrugge, where his father was a church minister. At the age of 20, he graduated from the Rotterdams Conservatorium. Since 1960, he taught organ at the musical school in Deventer, and later also in Arnhem and at the Utrechts Conservatorium.
