Ang Lee

Ang Lee (Chinese: 李安; pinyin: Lǐ Ān; born October 23, 1954) is a Taiwanese filmmaker. His films are known for their emotional charge and exploration of repressed and hidden emotions. During his career, Lee has received international critical and popular acclaim and numerous accolades, including three Academy Awards, five BAFTA Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. He is also the only filmmaker to win the Golden Bear twice and one of only four filmmakers to win the Golden Lion twice, and received the BAFTA Fellowship in 2020.
