Aleksey Zhilin

Aleksey Dmitriyevich Zhilin (c. 1766, Kursk Province. 1848, Moscow) was a Russian composer and multi instrumentalist. Blind from the age of 6 months old, he was the Kapellmeister and orchestra director at the Institute for Blind Workers in St Petersburg from 1808 to 1818. Thereafter he resided in Kursk and Moscow.
