2026–27 NHL season

The 2026–27 NHL season is the upcoming 110th season of operation of the National Hockey League (NHL). The season will feature an 84-game regular season schedule for the first time since 1993–94. The regular season is expected to begin in September 2026. The Stanley Cup playoffs are then planned to begin in April 2027, ending with the Stanley Cup Final in June.
